So recently i've been listening to a different type of music than i usually do, mostly songs with no voice, yeah there's no singer, don't know what's it's call, cause there's lots of genre like ambient, acoustic, great stuff none the less.
First off
Port Blue, a project from Adam Young, you know the one who created Owl City, the one who sings Fireflies, i mention before that he has lots of projects, and this is one of his projects that he does not sing in, but it sounds really great, with the piano, it's kind of peaceful, really like it, i like the first 3 songs in the album The Airship called, Up! Ship, Over The LionsGate City, the others are okay i guess, but really like Sky Sailing, another project by him, but he sings in that, which made me like that even more, i wish i could listen to all his project, currently i've heard of Owl City, Sky Sailing, Port Blue and Swimming With Dolphins.
Andy Mckee
Heard him a while ago, and listening to him now, my cousin introduce his music couple of years back, his songs are really impressive, and what's more impressive than his songs, the way he plays it, he's an acoustic guitar player by the way, seriously like his song called Drifting, just watch his video, with 32 million hits surely gonna swoop you right in, the part i love the most is how he use his two hands to play guitar, normally people would, but his style is different, instead of using one hand to strum and one hand to hold cord, he picks with one hand and he plays bass with another, on the same guitar though, anyway just waiting to listen to his songs more..
Roger Wang
Another acoustic guitar player, a Sabahan i think cause he has a studio back there, and i did learn drums from his studio, and my dad just happens to buy his CD, and on that day he got an autographs, anyway his songs are awesome, though i never actually seen he plays, but he plays lots of acoustic songs, with no voice also, point of my title, there are several songs i like from his album Journey Home, The song i like the most is Arirang and While She Sleeps, the rest are okay but those two are my favorites.
But here's my problem with songs that has no voice, i'm listening to it right?, and i was feeling, wow this song is amazing, then i thought about it, how the hell am i gonna know who the artist is, since there's no voice, i do great on recognizing voice, but not so great on recognizing how the person plays the music, hmm maybe i should learn that, seriously, all my life i've been trying to search for the music i've like, like when you're in a mall, and you're listen to this great song, then you don't know who the artist is, and you're kinda stuck with words that he or she is singing, worst case scenario, the song is chinese, can't really find it, but eventually i did found the song, it's actually a song by Jay Chou, both of them i've searched for a pretty long time, anyway the song is called, Orange Jasmine something and Sweetness, don't know the chinese names for that song..
Songs with actual voice,
I don't know but, im a little bit on korean songs right now, damn influences..
The 2 most popular korean female group are probably Girls Generation and Wonder Girls, probably i don't know, first there was Wonder Girls, and they realize, what the hell five girls ain't enough, put on some more, than there's Girls Generation, what the hell there's nine girls how the hell am i gonna focus, anyway both of them are great, don't know why im saying that, but yeah they're girls what's not to like, girls who loves to move their body while singing their songs.
Another great artist, is Ingrid Michaelson, i think she's great personally, she has lots of weird song which makes her great, kind of her identity, but her songs are really awesome, from her first album called Girls And Boys, i like the songs titles Die alone, Overboard and of course, The way i am, she has lots of other great songs, but those are the best from the first album, she has lots of album, still waiting though..
