Today is the day that i was born, not a lot going on here.. got sleepy during class not that the lecture was boring though, just felt tired
So i decided what my birthday post would be, i planned to do bout girls, but i don't seem to get any.. but that seem like a bad idea, so instead im gonna do about my favorite place to go and it's everyone dream to travel is it not? Kinda like Nicolekiss blogs cause it's all about travel, and it's really far from where i am, on the blog criteria, her blog is all bout these cool places and great country to travel and i just sit in my bed braggin bout how boring my life is, can't be bother, didn't do anything to deserve a better life, i'm convince that how you current life is brought from how you lead your life, same thing as if you work hard your life would be easier, not saying that my life is hard but could be better, not saying that im not appreciating life but fact, life is short so if we can, we do all the things that the world has to give before we give in.
And one of the place that i like to go is Lahad Datu, might seem an odd place for a favorite spot, it's not because of the town but what it represents. Lahad Datu was my dad hometown, my dad live in lot's of places because my grandfather was a Custom Officer, guess that has something to do with travel a lot, but they reside in Lahad Datu for a long period of time and till now the house is still intact, renovated and feels homely, one of the reason that i like to go there is because i always went there when i was a little boy, i remember every year after i'm done with school i would spent a month there just living after a year of studying and just feels like a great place to relax and let go of the tension, okay i was joking a kid shouldn't feel any tension. But it's a family place, it's like a tradition and after a month, my whole family would also go there to spent Christmas and New Year, i guess it started when i was a little boy, i remember that it was my cousin birthday and my grandfather birthday, they were celebrating it on the same day and we were singing happy birthday to them and i was standing in front of the cake and i accidentally blow out the candles, and they had to relight them.. haha i was a kid i didn't know what i was doing all i know that im happy blowing out candle for other people, but things changes after all of us grown up, that house actually became like a clubbing place on Christmas, the house would be crowded, serve everybody liquor or beers, people would gamble, but mostly it's a party so that had to be eat, there's food too and companies.
Things changed a lot, i kinda like that place cause it's homy, like a get away where you're out of the city but now that place is just awkward for me, and there's stranger, not a big fan of talking to stranger oh well, other memories of that place is the food, Lahad Datu was famous for 2 things "Nasi Kuning"(Yellow Rice) and Calamari.
Nasi Kuning is a dish served there, in it is Yellow Rice served with Chicken Or Fish, people prefer fish because of the gravy, the gravy is a mixture of ground nuts, chilli and all the seasoning, then it is served with half an egg. I like it cause it's delicious, but seriously though the rice is soft and when you mix it with the gravy, it's the best food you have ever tasted, and the Calamari, nothing fancy just a squid on a stick, but it's pretty famous, i guess it is delicious, the squid is marinated with black soy sauce and each stick has 3 little cut up squid, you can add chilli if you want more exotic flavor.
About the town, it's not a really big town, but there are lots of supermarkets, like The Mewah, Wisma Ramai-Ramai, that's just the name i remembered, but there's lots more, and there's more building now.
My other favorite place is Kundasang, it's located at Ranau and it's a very cold place, it's actually the feet of Mount Kinabalu, there's lots of resort there where families would go on weekend to spend it with their family, my family also used to spent lots of time there and we would rent a chalet for a night or two, and we would cook up food and eat together while talking, I remember, cooking chicken wings with a Convention oven and my aunt bought lots of Nasi Lemak and we ate all together, the chicken was pretty delicious, although it's not my first time cause the oven was actually mine and my parents always cook chicken wings for the night, it was night and i was out side the only thing that i did was breathe, it's kinda fun breathing there, when you exhale there's smoke coming out of your mouth, cause the place is cold, then in the morning my aunt cooked up sausages and scramble eggs, like an american breakfast, the only thing missing is toast, bacon and orange juices.
Currently my Aunt open up a resort there called Dreamworld Resort and it's pretty new and located near the Desa farm which produce fresh milk, but there's a problem on the management, and i haven't went there because of it...
About the town, it's a tourist attraction and in the little town there would be little stalls selling fresh vegetables, and along the road side there would be a little waterfall where people would stop by and take photos on the side of the road or wash their hands in the cold water, it's also a beautiful place i would say, when you're in the car, you'll see the clouds covering the mountain and feel like you could touch the cloud, but actually it's just a mist.
That's pretty much bout my favorite place, but other than that i like Labuan cause of cheap expensive chocolate, which is expensive chocolate sold at cheap price cause there's no tax there, but people normally go there for liquor and beers. Brunei, nice place to go, liked the Jerudong park the water ride and the Roller Coaster, the roller coaster looks scary and it's not the type that you ride in, you were hang on there and you feet are left tangling.
Singapore is a cool place, Went to the Merlion tower and saw the whole Singapore.
that's pretty much what i've remembered, guess my time is up.
