Accents

I used to thought that i had a great American accent, i mean not great, but i do hear a lot of how they talk, but that was only in my head, i thought i was at least good until i did a video blog, turns out i suck, big time, i don't even know what kinda accent i have, but i wish it would be American, American accent are cool cause they're Accent are the most casual accent that i've ever heard, there's lots of other English accent out there, like British, Australian and Canadian.

But i am trying to speak better, but it's been a while since i've done my video blog, i don't think i generally suck, it's just that i don't talk a lot, that means i don't know how my accent is gonna be, most of the time i just talk, but when i'm alone, talking to my self, i kinda feel like it sounds better than when i'm doing a video blog, maybe because there's a friggin camera recording after you, it's a little bit awkward talking to yourself while recording yourself doing it, but Vloggers have found someway to deal with that, and i haven't, but i'm still starting, the only reason i did a vlog was to do something before i'm 20, yes it's gonna be a few more months till the end of my teen-hood, i think it made sense that you end your teen hood at 20 because there's no teen in twenty, but there is a teen in Nine-teen, well agree to disagree.

Anyway, accent, i have some that i learned a little bit over the years, British accent aren't really that hard, you just have to know big words like proprsterous i can't even spell it, hold on, it's preposterous, yeah and other big words, if you talk at the right amount of British while using big words, i think you can do it, but of course, nothing beats practice, and they use shall instead of will, which i think is good, cause we tend to over use will too much, "I will procrastinate" = lame, "I shall procrastinate" = classy.

I don't really have a tip on how to really speak in a British accent, cause i don't watch BBC or any British show accept Mr.Bean but there's barely any talking in that, but if you really wanna change your accent, you should go to youtube or google there's plenty of guide there i'm pretty sure of.

Australian accent, now this one started as a joke that i read but over the years i found out that it's actually a good accent, maybe you can't be bi-lingual, but you can be bi-accentanian, whatever the hell it's called, the first Australian accent i've heard was a joke, the joke goes "Did you come here yesterday?", replied "I came here To-Die" if you talk it straight, you will hear the Australian accent in "To-Die", we normally say "Today", but you can go watch Crocodile Hunter or maybe one of my favorite vlogger Natalie Tran a.k.a Community Channel to see how Australian talk, Australian are cool, Crikey!

But here's what i've learned on an Australian accent on my own, just now!, if you wanna say way in Australian accent, say "Why", may sound strange, but try saying "Let's Go That Why", you will instantly hear the Australian accent on "Why" as Way, but i'm still exploring, maybe someday i'll be great at learning the alternative of English accent and post more here.

Last one, Canadian accent, i don't really know much about Canadian accent except for when they say out they're actually pronouncing "ooout" yeah, i can't spell it out, but you should try watching Cobie Smulders as Robin from How I Met Your Mother, she's a native Canadian and playing a Canadian in How I Met Your Mother.

That's about what i can say for English accent, Malaysian accent are so easy to do, but still there's a lot of difference in terms of state, i'm from Sabah, so i know that we're unique, in fact no other state have the same Accent, they're all different, maybe the most distinguish is the Peninsula accent in Kuala Lumpur, well what i've observed that they pronounce all the "a" in "e", for example, if you're in sabah you would probably hear them talk "I wanna eat" like this,"Saya Mau Makan", very straight on, but in the peninsula, they would probably say "Saye Nak Maken", it's very distinct from Sabahan accent, and also their tones differ.

Well that's about all i know about accent for now, maybe i'll do more in the next month or so, cause i can only absorb like a sponge for a little amount of time, and i wanna watch The King's Speech, seems interesting, what i can tell from the trailer is that it's about a Duke finding it hard to speak publicly so he kinda trains, there's lots of screaming to get the emotion going on, maybe i should try it, though i haven't watch the movie, gonna watch it soon, is it still in cinema? no, maybe i'll wait for the DVD..

Good day y'all and have a Superb Saturday.
